About Lexi Watson

Lexi is a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) and Allergy Specialist at All Ages Pediatrics. She began her healthcare journey by earning her CNA certification in 2015 from Indian Hills Community College in Ottumwa, Iowa. Lexi then spent seven years working at Sunnybrook Homecare, where she gained valuable experience. In 2023, she returned to Indian Hills to further her education and completed her CCMA certification in September 2024.

Lexi’s passion for pediatric care stems from her personal experience as a mother. When her daughter Oaklee was born prematurely, Lexi spent time in the University of Iowa NICU, which opened her eyes to the critical role healthcare professionals play in children’s lives. This experience ignited her desire to work with children, helping them grow and stay healthy, and has been the driving force behind her career.

Her work with Dr. Dodson at All Ages Pediatrics reinforced her love for the profession. She greatly admires Dr. Dodson’s compassion and dedication to his patients, and his mentorship has been both inspiring and validating for Lexi, confirming that she is in the right field.

Outside of work, Lexi enjoys spending time at her family’s lake house on Rathbun Lake with her husband Kaleb and their three children, Kameron, Oaklee, and Kimber. Together with their two dogs, they love boating, fishing, and supporting their children’s sports activities. Lexi and her family are also enthusiastic fans of the Iowa Hawkeye girls’ basketball team and the Indiana Fever.
