About Katrina Hemminger

Katrina has been a dedicated member of the nursing staff and a paramedic since 2023. She grew up in Ottumwa and pursued a cosmetology degree in 2008, followed by an A.A. in English and Literature. She obtained her paramedic licensure from Indian Hills in 2020.

Katrina began her career in the medical field as a receptionist at All Ages Pediatrics from 2017 to 2019. After completing an EMT course, she transitioned to working full-time with the ambulance service while continuing her paramedic training. In May 2023, she returned to All Ages Pediatrics.

Katrina is passionate about working with children, ensuring they feel safe and comfortable during their medical care. Her inspiration comes from watching Dr. Dodson care for her children with genuine compassion, confirming her choice of profession.

Outside of work, Katrina is married to a fellow paramedic, and together they have six children, ranging in age from 7 to 21, along with two mini Aussie fur babies. They enjoy spending time with family and friends and love traveling to new places, especially on road trips to the mountains.
